Wojciech Labuz

Mr. John Labuz is the Curriculum Cell Lead and Professor of Practice and Academics Chair for Leadership and Ethics at the Joint Special Operations University.  

His responsibilities included mentoring, teaching, and curriculum development for Joint Special Operations Senior Enlisted Leaders, General Purpose Forces, Interagency, and International Partners. He is a certified master instructor and a recognized subject matter expert in individual and organizational leadership. He has focused his scholarly work on analyzing the impact of ethical, socio-cultural, geopolitical, economic, and religious variables on SOF operations and SOF operators.  

He is an experienced advisor and mentor on Special Operations Executive Leadership and a proven communicator with dynamic interpersonal skills, able to easily relate to audiences from various educational, cultural, and professional backgrounds. 

Mr. Labuz is a retired US Army Special Operations Command Sergeant Major with over 23 years of organizational leadership experience, including multiple in-garrison, deployed, and joint leadership positions throughout his career. He has extensive operational experience in Europe and the Middle East. 

Mr. John Labuz is a Joint Special Operations University Master Instructor and Nationally Certified Post Secondary Instructor. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in ethics, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate, a Professional Certificate in Online Education and executive coaching, and a Master resiliency certificate.
