GATEWAY- Satellite Course
Description
This course is part of the Enlisted Joint PME (EJPME) continuum. It is overseen by SEAC and Joint Staff/J-7. GATEWAY reinforces joint perspectives while preparing select E-6 and E-7s for enhanced joint leadership opportunities at the operational level. This course fulfills a resident EJPME continuum gap that presently exists between the distance learning courses, EJPME I/II, and KEYSTONE. This course offers mid-grade Senior Noncommissioned Officers (SNCOs) and Chief Petty Officers (CPOs) the opportunity to elevate their tactical and operational leadership experience in a joint learning environment. Listed below are the GATEWAY Joint Learning Areas (JLAs). JOINT LEARNING AREAS: 1. National Strategic Overview 2. National Military Capabilities and Organization 3. Joint Forces Overview 4. Joint Force Leadership 5. Foundations of Joint Operations 6. Regional Knowledge and Operational Culture Duration: This course is presented over 4 days. Location: Conducted in residence at the Combatant Commands. SOCOM’s iteration will be conducted at Joint Special Operations University.
Audience
E6-E7 nominated members currently serving in or inbound to a joint billet. E8s may attend with approval from their CCMD CSEL.
Remarks
Prerequisite: Completion of EJPME I.
Materials
All required texts and materials will be available to the student on either the course e-Campus site or issued upon arrival in the classroom.
