JSOUTalks is JSOU’s guest lecture series, which seeks to explore and discuss various topics of interest to the SOF enterprise. Topics range from intelligence in SOF, to controlling narratives, updates on Ukraine and Russian Way of War, Cyber Warfare, great power competition and SOF history, just to name a few. Formats can be in the form of speaker or lecturer, interview, book review, or panel discussion, and can be virtual or live in person. These professional development educational activities are convenient, as learners can access content anytime at jsou.edu. And they are valuable, as JSOU engages subject matter experts, academic experts, senior military leaders, senior business leaders, and professionals in their fields of all kinds of topics important to special operations, to provide invaluable insight and collaboration, as we navigate operational spaces that are dangerous, everchanging, and complex ways never before seen.

Interview with an academic, author, SOF senior leader, professional in their field, business leader, etc. The objective of this program is to educate the intelligent, uninformed learner on a topic related to SOF, while also establishing or strengthening relationships on behalf of USSOCOM. Each interview creates or strengthens a relationship with an expert, and is considered mutually beneficial.

The USSOCOM Global Leaders Speaker Series (GLSS) is intended to educate and inspire USSOCOM team members by showcasing diverse perspectives from thought leaders. This Commander-led Program is managed by Joint Special operations University on behalf of the USSOCOM Commander. As a talent development program designed to educate, inform and inspire, speakers from across the Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, Multi-national and Commercial sectors are brought to USSOCOM Headquarters in order to provide diverse perspectives on a variety of topics.
