Scott Simeral is JSOU's Academic Chair for Naval Special Warfare. He has 17 years of service in and out of uniform with SOF, interagency, and conventional military organizations, during which time he deployed to the CENTCOM and PACOM AORs.

Scott's graduate education consists of an MA in Defense & Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, an MBA from the University of Florida, and an MA in English Literature from the University of South Florida. He is an alumnus of the Naval Command and Staff Program (JPME Phase I) & Joint Forces Staff College (JPME Phase II).
